mx racers shock choice

what shocks do you mx racers use in the front?

Works pro series piggyback front, ultra cross rear if you have many $$$$$. If you want the good stuff without the high $$$$$ cost, then get the triplerate fronts w/ rezzies, and quadstar rear with rezzy. Ohlins are good too, but they will take close to a $2,000 dent in your wallet[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]!!!!

most of the top pros use axis and pep ZPS

personally i want elkas.

i run works zps on my r and works triple with rez. and quadstar rear on the 400ex . the ZPS have to be ridin hard to work right handle like a dream but not worth the money if you dont race alot i would go with works
a good shock for the money and help up to me beating the snot out of them .

PEP/ZPS are the best!! Save your pennies and get the best, you won't regret it. I currently have Works triple rates with rezzies I bought in late December for my R which has +2 a-arms, I've got the PEP/ZPS on order. I'll be selling the Works as soon as the PEP's come in!!

If the shocks have to be ridden a certain way to get them to work, why not just revalve them. It is not the shock that matters, it is the valving. A properly set up works shock will perform just as well as a properly setup axis shock. It is a myth that there are differences between shocks…
