I was just wondering if your plastic was Maier, or the factory Honda from '01-'02 ?

 

The 400ex has a weak rod, thats what happend to ours.We had to replace the cases, all new bearings,a new hotrod rod,trued and welded the crank even shaved the crank to clear 4th gear in case we ever want to stroke it.Then we bored the case to accept the 465 kit from Curtis Sparks.We changed the timing chain,a heavy duty one from sparks(very important change the chain no mater what you do)we gave it a 3angle valve job,heave duty springs,titan.keepers,race cam.The rebuild job was $$$$ but worth it, When we see it smoking 685 Rapters 370Banshees,it is worth it. Time to fix it! We willsee you at Olds.
