2002 400ex main jet style??

what is the main jet style on a stock 2002 400ex carburator?

anybody??????

we went to the dealer a couple days ago and asked them for some main jets for a 400ex and they said they needed to now the style of the main jet.

need help fast!!!!

It's just whatever the make of your carburator is... If you don't have the dynojet jet kit. Dynojet jets are different than stock jets. That's all he's referring to. If the guy at the shop doesn't know, I'd go somewhere else if at all possible. That was a pretty basic question for anyone that works behind a parts counter.

Don't hold me to this since I have yet to tear into one. I know the ex uses a Keihin carb so it will be a keihin jet. I don't believe they still use the round jets so it should be hex. Keihin only used one length hex (vs mikuni using short and long). So I think what you need to ask for is a "keihin hex". If you have your jet out, it should be simple to tell. Round jets use a flat blade screwdriver to remove. Hex jets have a 6mm hex outside.
If there is a short and long, the short will be about 1/4 inch and the long is about 1/2 inch. Hope this helps and you aren't confused.
