The wiring diagram shows that a speedometer & wiring diagram are an option on the Recon. HAs anybody added this to your rig? How does it work?

 

I too saw the same connections in the wiring diagram. I have never seen one in a catalog or on a Recon. There is no reference to this option in the service manual either. However, I do know the part number and price. The part number is 37020-HM8-000 at a cost of $254.48 (1997 discounted price.

If you would like a speedometer, I would adapt a bicycle speedo to your Recon. They work great and are much less expensive.
