front or back sprockets

Which sporcket should i get a front or back which helps more and how many teeth,
will in the future be racing flat track and MX if that helps any

400ex shredder rear tires, mod. airbox.

The more teeth on the rear the more speed; less rpm's.Less teeth on the rear less speed; more rpm's.

sorry buddy, you got yourself all backwards, the less teeth you have on the rear the faster you go, the more teeth the lower geared it will be. now if you put a bigger sprocket on the front that is going to make the most difference, most ppl just go up on tooth size in the front and a couple down in the rear if they want speed. thanks
