I was just wondering which quad would win in an all out low end power shoot off. Who could turn the big meats (tires) in the thick mud and if you hooked the two together with the same tires who would win? I have a Foreman 450 s and my buddy just bought a Sportsman 500 HO.

I hope you like the looks of the tail light on the Sportsman, cause that is all you will ever see of your idiot friend. Seriously, the Sportsman has about 18-20 more HP than a 450 foreman, plus it weighs like 100lbs more. So of course he will pull you all over the place, providing he doesn’t break every part of the drive train doing so.

I suspect Honda's gear transmission would slip the POS belt in the clutchs of the Po, if the 2 were hooked together in tug of war, so the Foreman could win it. Side by side, the Sportsman takes it going away. But if you have the Honda, you don't have to walk back to your truck, so it would win in the long run.

I dont think the "POS belt" would be slipping, I have seen polaris's pull huge loads.....at the ATV pulls who ALWAYS wins....polaris...who comes in last...usually honda..those are the facts....i love honda but if I was going for a totally ute pull anything machine it would be PRO 700 or the Bomb'650...hook together the bomb' will pull ANY wheeler backwards...

KILLER250R, I agree 100%. I know I'm a racer at heart, but our regular ole' Sportsman 500 can still get the adrenaline pumping. Believe me, I've pulled my fair share of cars out of the ditch with it.

Lock in 4 low, and GO

To be totaly honest, I can and did pull a Foreman with my SCR500. So with that said a Sportsman would wouldn't even know it was therein a pulling contest.
