I'm really not famaliar with any type of block heater. A co-worker(non atv owner)is the one that suggested it. He described it as a heating element that screws down into the oil reservoir in place of the dipstick. I think I should start a new topic and see if I can get some responses from atv owners that live in cold climates.

Thanks to everyone for your help with the battery question.

My last Yuasa YTX14-BS lasted 4.5 years.

Used the KNOWSALOT FACILITY for battery information.

Also the Raptor uses Yuasa YTX14-BS. So call around to see who has the cheapest price.

This is an old post, but the info is still valid... What are you folks paying for the YTX14-BS these days? Cheapest local place I can find is $75.
