when i put my 300ex into reverse and give it alot of gas it seems to cutout in high rpm's. it only cuts out in reverse. all other gears run just like normal. i thought it was the choke but it was completely off and i would think if it was on it would do it in all the gears. and also i know its not the reverse clutch thing cause i have it zip tied all the way back so it is easier to put in reverse. thanks for the help.

You are hitting the rev limiter. It is set lower on reverse. This so that people will not go very fast in reverse.

yeah well i guess it could be that. i just don't get it cause when i 1st got it it didn't do that it would rev all the way up and then one day it just started cutting out. the only thing i did before it started this was clean the spark plug. but i don't know i guess you could be right. it still functions and doesn't mess up anything else.
