Raptor ACDC, I agree that if the Cannons were that good you would see the top guys on them. The NAC guys are on them because they are the ones who are getting PAID to ride them!

There are alot more Cannondale's out there than you might think. Most are raced though and that's the reason you don't see many on the trails on a weekend outing.

I know this for fact, because most of them in that area were purchased from me.

Knowsalot, I'm not out on the trails for a weekend outing. I'm on the MX tracks blowing the doors off those Cannons almost every weekend and Wed night practices. I'm not kidding when I say they don't do very well around here. Slightly modded 400EX's are also fast enough to keep them at bay. Between riding on my own track, Wed night practices, and weekend race trips[sometimes dunes] I get to ride 2-4 times a week. Those little 30ft. doubles you were having a hard time doing or trying are something us real MXers can do even on our wife's quad[250EX]. Where are you located? I'd like to go riding with you.

I was responding to nukerainbow's post and not yours.

Sure you aren't one of the Baxter boys??

Don't comment on the "problem with the 30' double" because you don't know the whole story behind it. I would go into detail with you but why bother.....You are such a real MXer.....LMAO!!!!!

I had alot of respect for you up till that last post.

I wont bother discussing real issues with some local boy who thinks he's Tim Farr and jumps the gun before realizing that noone was talking to him in the first place.

By the way ROD......You need to go back and read my posts in this topic again.

I never disputed anything that you just said!! The only thing I said was that the rider would make the difference between the two.....that's all.

If you despise Cannondales so much that you feel it neccessary to blast everyone else's experiences with them......too bad.

Your race quad is nothing that is built from an OEM.

I think the 400ex is a good fourwheeler, but not for racing no matter how much dough you put into it. If I was into jumping I would get a cannondale for sure but my main focus is on drag racing and that leaves only the Raptor and the new KFX700, which I will get as soon as my dealer gets one. If it does better than what I think it will I may give jumping a try but will still be doing drag racing as my main thing. I have been out of the sport for the last few years and when I recently caught up I didnt know that cannondale had even made fourwheelers. From what I have read they seem to be the machine to buy if you are into racing. I do think their prices are a bit high though to.
While I'm here, I have a question, Will the racing shocks that fit a 250X fit the new KFX700 on the front? A old friend of mine used to jump alot and he had some high performance shocks on the front. If I decide to start racing in motocross I think i will try and see if they fit. Does anyone know?
Thanks,
SirClip

Sensitive Pat, sorry I offended you by bench racing my wife's 250EX over a little 30 ft. double. I read just like everyone else on this forum that you had a ploblem with a 30 footer so I just poked a little fun at you saying we could do it on a 250EX. Why bother explaining? So we can understand because you might have been posting with one but many including myself were reading and interested also. I'm sure you know by reading my posts that I don't despise Cannons, just the Cannon owners who think everything else BUT a Cannon sux. I've been riding/racing for about 23 years[I'm 33] and still love it. A day doesn't go by that I don't think, talk, or ride quads. Probably just like yourself, so relax when someone new in here is bench racing{talking smack-fun} with someone who has the same interests. It's not to put you down, it's to poke fun, have fun, and talk fun. This is supposed to be fun and your second to last post here is far from that!

ROD,

I see your point. No harm no foul. I meant for my post to sound like yours.

Seems like me and you have a good bit in common regarding interest in quads. I too have been involved with them for years.[about the same age]

I am not a brand loyalist by far. My opinion is that the Cannondale's are the best bang for the buck to race with. Your's is different. No problem. I'm not trying to change your mind, so don't think that I am promoting the Cannondales even when it sounds like I am.

I used to race a good bit of MX up till 5 years ago when my daughter was born. I never got real good at it, but I did have a couple of wins from time to time.

After three years without racing at all, I made the switch to XC. I like it much better than MX personally because strategy plays a more important role than anything else, the people there seem to be nicer, you get more riding time on the quad, and the bursts through the shade trees in a long straightaway are nice when it's hot...LOL Since making the switch, i have only raced one arenacross so far and have two more coming up in the next 5 months.

If you are ever in the deep south and want to run a hare scramble, PM me.

If are here and want to run a MX, just PM me and I will come and watch...LOL

Peace out.

Knowsalot, I'm not brand loyal either having purchased 3 Raptors, a Z, and now a KFX after many years of just riding Honda. I agree with you that the Cannons are the most READY quads for racing compared to anything else out there. I would be interested in some XC and will pm you soon. I'm starting to think I'm getting a little old{getting banged up} for some of these hairy MX tracks. Woods riding sounds pretty dang good.
