I am sick of cannondale

I am sure it is a great quad... but not for the money you spend. Everyone talks about this quad like it is the god of all quads. Retail is like 7 grand for the cheapest right? I bought my EX for 5 grand. with the two thousand i saved I could put a new suspension new cam, piston and pipe and i gaurangoddamntee that it would be much better than a dale. just my two cents.

It would depend on what type of racing you would be doing and at what level.
Dumping $3000.00 into a 400EX will only get you a quad that is equal in power [maybe] but will not be worth any more regarding resale value than it would if you left it stock. Reliability of such a quad would also be an issue.
There is only a $1300.00 difference between the 400EX and Cannibal and you aren't going to get a Cannibal eating 400EX with that ammount of money.
And to think that thus far, everyone is running stock internals in their Cannondales right now. A few comanies are beginniong to tap into the engine and the results are good.
Unless another manufactuer steps up to the plate in the next two years....Cannondale will become the next 250R.
Especially after all the pro classes require production quads.
My .02 cents

Steve, you are right on man. For 2 grand, you can make the 400 fast and VERY competitive. Knowsalot, your 1300 difference is just the retail not what you can actually buy a 400EX for now that Z400 and KFX are out. By the way I like them better than the 400EX, but the 400EX is still a great quad. Cannons are getting better, but Hondas are almost always winning.
