250 EX vs Blaster :(

pickpocket
There is no way that an auto clutch, shaft driven, 250 fourstroke that is based on a utility quad will ever beat a 200 two stroke with a six speed manual that weighs 30 pounds less with equal riding skill.

not to add to the pissing match, but my piped ex did beat a piped blaster with holeshot mx's all around and a fmf pipe and silencer on a mx-style track. say what you will, blaster owners, but there was no excuses- the fella on the blaster knew we were racing (btw he was lighter than me), and at the time it was my first ride on my ex in a few months. previously, i have also kept up with a stock blaster, and that was when my quad was running lean. in addition to this, i have also kept up with a piped 300ex, and beat a stock 300ex with razrs on it . and since in a drag race the 300 and blaster are pretty much even stock for stock, it's the same as racing a blaster. i'm not saying that all piped 250's can pick on piped blasters and 300ex's at the track (i think rider skill affected the outcome of that one race i mentioned with the piped blaster), but it's not like all 250's will be destroyed by blasters......a piped 250 (assuming the jetting is spot-on, and the exhaust is good, i.e. T-4, HMF, etc.) will give a stock blaster a run for its money. the blaster should win, but it would be much closer than stock vs. stock.
stock vs. stock= blaster wins by a mile
piped ex vs.stock blaster= blaster wins, although by smaller margin
