Someones after my quad!
#1
Well i had my atv parked outside in the front lawn when i saw this redish truck goin by at about 30mph...i thought it was odd didnt think much of it. 5 minutes later he goes by agian this time about 5mph and then almost to a complete stop..I run out there when hes gone and put it in the garage and lock it tighter then a 30yr old virgin. Minutes later he stopes right on the side of the road and a quad right behind him pulls up and stops also..they look around and whne i turn on the lgihts they scatter. I need some good ideas on what to do about this..QUads are being stolen everywhere around my neighborhood!

don't leave your quad outside anymore. Chain it up even in the garage, don't make it easy for anyone to take. That will deter 95% of thieves out there as they are going to want to spend any extra time fiddling around with unsecuring chains. Brake rotor locks are pretty good additions also.

Get your quad insured! It is about a 100 bucks for the year. After that, your best option is to not advertise the fact that you have a quad, keep it locked up in the garage. Let your neighbors know what has been going on and try to get a plate # off the suspicious truck. Then let the police know. They can run the plate and contact the owner. If you approach the cops correctly, they will probably let the thieves know that they are on to them. Chances are that if there have been a lot of ATV thefts in your area, these losers are probably in on some of them. ATV theft is a big pain in the behind for the Police, so they should be very happy to get a lead.

Hey,
go buy a very large rockwieler, only feed it every other day, and tie to your quad with a very long chain. then park it in the front yard, grab the video camera, and watch the fun begin. ohh and be sure to post a link to video once you get it on-line, cause i can't wait to see this. lol
