I'm buying a Rubicon this weekend and I need to decide which color I want: red or yellow. Green is out of the question. I'm only concerned about the color fading and which color wears the best over time (scratches). I already know true Honda fans ride red. I've been riding Honda's for the past 20 years on my parents dairy farm. I just want to include an additional comment(s). There is not a better ATV on the market than Honda!! I've scene what kind of hell (abuse) these machines suffer every day and for the most part I've inflicted it. Those of you that just simply ride four-wheelers on so called horrible trails really don't understand how tough HONDA'S really are and can not judge their true performance and durability. Step onto a farm/ranch and watch the real tests of Honda's strength. I hope I get more responses than what I received on my last two posts (sorry, just a little irritated)? Just felt like raising some hell. Remember before you make comments about my last few statements, try to honestly answer my original question(s)

Shepperd (just working on a bad reputation!!!)

I mean plastic color, of course, not frame.

A friend of mine has a yellow 400 ex. He rides the hell out of it and the scratches are pretty well hidden. I have seen quite a few red 400ex and 300ex that look like crap after only about a years time. To me the color really does not matter. All of them show scratches but a few kinda hides them.

Personally i don't like yellow, but from what me and my buddies ride, it appears that the yellow (at least in the honda line) hides the scratches better.

I have a red Rancher and a yellow Formen. Red shows a lot more then the yellow, so I would get the yellow.

I have a yellow foreman, and it hides scratches alot better than my buddies red 300 4x4. It will fade if left out in the sun all the time though. Mine faded a little when outside most of last summer while I was building a new garage.

The lighter the color the better it hides scratches.
