the max inflation (as specified on the tire) for my stock 2002 rubicon is 36psi (think they're bridgestones). i use the machine primarily around the farm to do chores - any recommendations on tire pressure?

incidently, i think i recall the manual recommending 18 psi..

what tire pressure are you using?

The recomended tire preasure is printed on the fender of the Rubicon. It is 3.6 psi. Thats what I run in mine and it gives a smooth ride with no bounce. With 18 psi it would look like a basketball bouncing down the trail. Even 6 psi is a bit much. I wouldn't run over 4 psi.

I would only run 5lbs in stock tires-less chance of a puncture as the tire will fold around stuff instead of hitting it hard. Anything above 10lbs printed on an atv tire is probably the pressure needed to seat the bead anyways and is not an operating pressure.
