best sport utility quad

Ride the Griz and the 650, and scope the shootout in the latest DirtWheels, its a thorough review of stuff you won't get just on a test ride. I like swingarm rear suspension (griz) over independent rear for a sporty, tail sliding ride. The 650s I've ridden have more body lean in quick turning than I like, due to the independent rear susp. Both are excellent otherwise.

Paulio21, I didn't invent the name "sport/utility. That is what many of the magazines have called the Prairie due to its sporty feel and capability to do work. You can call it what you want, and if you think the Wolverine is better, that is your priveledge. If it had more power and 2/4 wheel drive, I might agree.

I cannot pick a winner, all I have rode is the Grizz out of this bunch of 650's, and it is a great bike. If top speed and fastest acceleration makes one bike better than the other and then why even talk about ride quality and handling much. Without riding the Prairie or Rincon I do not know which one is best but for now I will go with the Grizz. I think any 650 goes plenty fast enough, if not then buy a raptor and you will have a fast and powerful 650.

Good laxitive might help clear things up for ya.

Sho' nuff. I ride lots of different quads, and was relying on the comparo on page 66 of DW mag to refresh my memory, which states the 650 has "single shock swingarm" rear susp. I'm looking at it now, and on p.67 are 3 pictures of the rear suspensions, confirming what you said. So I need to know, which laxative gets your mind so clear? I still vote for solid axle/swingarm for giving a sportier ride with better sliding with less body lean., don't you think so?

I own a P650 and I admit I love to haul *** on it. But the thing I am most impressed is not the quickness of it but the low end grunt it has. It has gobs of torque and does the technical trails with ease......
