Please give me some opinions. If i were to make my (front) sproket, 1 tooth smaller, and gain low end, how much of an increase in low power would there be? i just recently put on modifications and i put the new xct holeshot tires (22x11x9), and in the stock sproket size, the tires dont spin which in turn dosnt go through low end very fast, and i cannot go threw the gears so fast as normal. In other words, would a sprocket 1 tooth lower, give me a drastic change in low end? and what kind of change should i expect? Thanks guys

Stock is 13 tooth and the rear tires are 22" if you drop down a tooth size it will be a low end power wheelie machine like it isnt already and if you go u 1 tooth size you will gain alot of top end and gain about 5-8 mph top speed i have a 95 300ex with a TC racing 405ex motor i am running 18" tires and have a 15 tooth countershaft sprocket to make up for the smaller tires

What change would it be if you changed the rear? leaving the front the same.

I have the same rears tires as you. Mine spins them fine and pulls hard through the low-end. Mine is still completly stock.

thanks alot. After all of the modifications were added, i am not happy w/ the results, i am still getting killed by warriors in a drag race, and i cannot tell much of a power difference w/ the mods. If i get a 1 tooth lower sprocket, will that help me gain some low end, which means i will go threw the gears faster right? or not?

JUST FOR THE RECORD these are my mods: I recently put a Weisco piston, suppertrappe pipe and silencer, all around valve job, trail port, bore 10cc, k&n air filter, xct holeshot tires (22x11x9), clutch kit, compleate gasket set, dg nerfs, bumper and some handlebars on my 300ex.

Yes 1 tooth lower in the front sprocket will give you more lowend but less topend.

y2k, but i will reach top end alot faster w/ a smaller sprocket right? which means i might keep ahead of maybe a warrior for the first few gears w/ a smaller sprocket?
