Foot Shift of Thumb Shift ???
#1
I'm just wondering, has anyone only accustomed to foot shifting ever bought an electric shift model and though it was so great that they will never go back to a manual shift machine? Or has anyone only accustomed to foot shifting ever bought an electric shift model and though it was so bad and who could not get accustomed to it sold it. Turned around and bought another manual shift machine?

I have had foot shift atv's and and thumb shift.I have a Forman ES right now and love it.I had a Rancher ES before.I like the thumb shift better because when on hills or in the mud.I also like the display that Honda has on their ES models.I've never had any problems with the The ES shift. It's only $200.00 more than the foot shift model.Test ride both and see which one you like.I hope I have helped.

I have always had performance quads with foot shift and clutch, I bought a 2003 450ES 2 months ago. I found it kind of tough to get used to, expecially that first corner I came into to hot, almost put my foot through the floorboard trying to downshift. I am used to it now and its OK, I would rather the foot shift for fast ridding but for normal trail riding its fine. One thing that is great about the thumb shift, the first time I had to shift into reverse when I went to deep into a river (up to the tank) my shoes did not get wet, cant say the same for my buddy on his Ranch S.
