Buying a 250X
#1
I went and looked at a 250X today.
What a POS! It was totally trashed.
It was a 92, he wanted 1,800(i thought it was a steal till i seen it)
The back brakes were shot, the transmission would just kick into gear if you reved it up, the front bumper was tore off.
But! the damn thing would run! He let me take it through his yard. I nailed it in the drive way. It popped a really good wheelie and i barely gave it any gas.
I can't wait till i find one in good shape!
When i go look at another what should i check for on the frame? Is there any spots that are prone to cracking? Any gaskets that go bad often?
Finally, what would cause the transmission to kick into gear like that?
Thanks all
