blaster or 300ex
#11
I say go for the 300ex I had a 98 blaster but traded for a warrior (another story see broken warrior under yamaha atv's in this forum) any way I think the 300ex is a blast to ride I have a 97 300ex with dynojet kit and K&N filter and outerwear filter cover I jump my EX all the time ride wheelie's (it the prince of extended wheelstands the 400ex is king). it has great power delivery. this weekend I saw a bonestock 300ex beat a tecate on a mX track (a real race not a little backyard race. A organized event) I have a MX tracka nd a flatrack in my backyard. the stock ex tires are a little knobby and ballonish for my liking so I put my 250r tires on there every once in a while (there the bald stockers) I have yet to put my new holeshot MX's on there yet but I think they will be great I (i have them on my 250r) the blaster is a peppy qaud but for trails the 300ex can't be beat in my opinion. I think the 300 feels a little tippy though but U get used to it quick. well remeber ride red, ride smart, and most importantly ride hard!!!!!!!

I've owned and ridden four wheelers for about 2.5 years now and a friend of mine has a Blaster. He has over 10 grand invested in...repairs! Sure, it's fast-he has a DG pipe on it, but has had nothing but problems out of the quad. Everything that can break has broken on that bike; most of the problems were not the fault of the friend. My husband and I both have Honda's and have had wonderful luck as far as longevity. We haven't had problem one out of either of our fourwheelers. Four wheel ATV action has a great article on the 300EX in the March issue that specifically tests the Blaster and the 300 against each other. Good luck with your fourwheeler choice.
