Now we are on the same page. Agree with what you are saying. The starter will not draw beyond its potential, but the user may push it too hard and kill it. Agree and have seen it. Many don't realize that the duty cycle of any starter is very very short. It is designed to be run briefly, then cooled for a long period of time. As you point out, the larger battery would allow ample crank time to kill the starter, if the user pushed it too hard.
