It's on the right side isn't it?

Yes, it is on the right side. It is a bolt with a slot cut in it for a screwdriver to grab, with a jam nut tightened down on it. On my Fourtrax, if you clean up around there really good, you can even see little arrows with the words 'tighten' and 'loosen' cast into the metal, so you know which way you need to move the adjuster bolt.

Some dirtbikes are on the left. All japanese made atv's and bikes are on the right though.

what the heck kind of quad is it???
sitting on it, it should be on the right side.
lol...maybe youre engine is in backwards...lol...
