The angle sensor is easily tested with a multimeter!
Get the resistance of the sensor in the Up - Neutral and Down position ...
It should read a resistance in the Kohm range (I think) ... and it should read a different resistance on the different position.

Or maybe you really have a mechanical problem ! ...
But I have a Foreman, I don't know if it's exactly the same thing ..

Just tell me your resitance values, I'll check in my repair book to compare.

Also, remove the shifter cover and see if there is no water, dust, or anything strange in there, wash it and put a new oring if it is
broken, wash the gears and put a good grease in there, I've put white grease on the gears and have no trouble ...
Oh, and maybe your shifter motor brushes are bad .... could be a ton of things . .

OK thanks. I'll try and get a Multimeter reading on it this evening and post 'em up. I'll pull the cover off and check that out as well. The only reason I was thinking Angle Sensor is because I saw another post here with a list of the DTC's and that is what it gave for three flashes. As far as the brushes go I hope not this thing only has 750-1000 miles on it rode mostly by my wife.
