After reading around I am noticing that alot of people are starting to make there own lift kits. Is there anyone out there that wants to sell one? I know there are probably more people than myself that would be interested in paying someone besides H.L. a DECENT price for a TRIED and TRUE home made lift kit. for there exact machine! anyways let me know what you think

I know some people that run an atv park here in my area and they make lifts for honda and yamaha,s and sell em for $60 bucks a piece. Next time im there ill ask if they will ship em and get their phone number and post it.
But it wouldnt be hard to make your own...find someone that already has one and with a little cuttin and weldin u got a lift

My friend has a lift kit that will fit your quad. All you would have to do is finish it. It needs 2 holes in the rear part for the shocks to bolt to it. He has a 450s and he decided that he don't want the liftkit.

I wiil talk to him tonight.

Foreman..
I know what you're saying.. I built my own for my Magnum 500.. On a Polaris, its just a matter of cutting two different sizes of pipe.. I actually experimented with different heights since the materials were/are cheap.. I think i've got $10 invested in two sets of lift kits.. one set of 1" and 1 set of 1 1/2" spacers..
Why companies want to charge so much for them I will never understand.
As for Honda and Yamaha, wouldn't it be possible to just buy heavy wall square tubing of the correct diameter and cut it to the desired length and drill your holes for your shock mounts?
The only thing about lift kits is that most dealerships will void your warranty if you lift them up.. atleast on your driveline components such as the shaft and u-joint that goes to the rear end...(because of the harder angle)
If in doubt, just remove the lift kit before taking it in for warranty work. hahaha...

My friend has a foreman 400 and he wants to lift it. I am a welder/ fabricator so I have the material and ability to make but I need some more info on it. for instance are you guy's extending the top shock mount only? what's the maximum distance I can lift It with out doing damage to the drive train? I have never seen a lift kit for a four wheeler so any help would be appreiciated

thanks kibby

It still needs those holes drilled in it, and you will have to cut the rear ones the coustomize the liftt you want in the rear.

If you pay the shipping I think I can get him to give them to me.
