What makes you a Honda loyalist?

I also don't think its worth it to be loyal to one brand, ecspecially if their are better machines out. I know Honda's are reliable, but believe it or not, my most reliable ATV was my 2 little Yamaha 60's, we never once changed the top end in them and they still ran great, although my Honda is still runnning well, there have been a few things that have happened. Also, my uncle has had his Grizz 660 for a little over a year and its still running great, not once has he had a problem, even though he has a belt designed in the 1800's as someone said, but push rods have been around forever also, so technology is about equal.

I'm not brand loyal by any means. If someone builds a better product then it's superior plain and simple. There's only a few reasons why I still have my X.
1. Kick start 4 stroke
2. I've got too much time and money in it to sell it
3. Lighter then most other MX quads
4. I love seein the look people get on their face after they see me flyin around the MX track and they find out that my quad's a 250X all modded out. Most people have no idea what it is at first since it's not a 400EX but says honda and doesnt look like a 300EX at first glance.

I would like to know how many miles you put a year? Maybe if you actually drove the way I do and hate to waist money on parts you would also be a "Honda brand loyal shallow minded buffoons."
That was point ,I do need something that can take what I dish out! Does make me stupid for only driving Honda 's and not considering any other brands anymore?

Honda has the reputation for reliability because they're too much of a chicken $hit to do something extreme. Want examples?
TRX250R - Built do compete with the LT250R
TRX250X - Built for the Warrior and Blaster
TRX300EX - Cause the X was getting "outdated", so they decide to revamp it. LOL. The 250X is actually faster than the 300.
Foreman 450 - Built to compete with the Sportsman 500, Grizzly, etc
Rubicon - Built for the same reason as the Foreman, but a little more umph
Rincon - Cause the Rubi and Foreman couldn't do it.
I'm not bashing Honda in any way. I applaud their simplicity, but I would also like to see them take a step AHEAD, and try to unclip that leash they're being lead on.

Depends. I have about 1000 miles on my 660 in a year and a half. 2000 were on the AC in 3 years. Who knows how many were on the 300 honda and the old 200 & 225 yamahas. They don't have odometers.
What is your point? Are you just still trying to say that you like them because they are reliable? I think we covered that like a long time ago. Move on.
All quads have problems. Hondas don't pull everyone home at the end of the day each time out. And I think the last time I ever came close to putting 3000 miles on a bike in a year was when I was a kid and didn't have anything else to do but ride it. I like to ride, but I don't do it every day of my life for 3 hours.
And after being around these things for 18 years, I think I know a little bit about them. All of them. I can remember when nobody would buy anything but a 250 fourtrax because they had such good luck with their old crappy TRX200 (crappy by todays standards). I can remember when the 300 came out and was miles ahead of anything else on the market. What point are you trying to make by wondering how many miles I put on a quad? Do you think I'm some guy from the suburbs of New York that keeps his bike in a rental storage and rides it 2 weeks out of the year when they guys at the social club go "outdooring"??? Not new to quads, not new to the forum. 2500 posts, not counting 1997 & 98 when the old format was up and didn't count them.

MadMudder -- I ride on my farm near Paducah, near the AEC plant. It is located on Ingleside road. I also ride on Soldier Creek, which is located only 1/2 mile from my son's farm. Where do you ride, we will have to get togather. Good riding.

Andy Basaham, the first sentence is for you for implying I am a shallaow minded buffoon.
The first paragraph was a simple statement of things I don't like. Just a simple statement.
The rest of the post was my answer to the original poist. "What make me a Honda loyalist?".
