400 ex wot adjustment
#3
Go to exriders.com and search throttle adjustment for indepth coverage. Not all 400's aren't adjusted correctly, just some. To check yours, take off the boot on the air filter side of the carb.. Look past the choke and when you push the throttle there is a "slide" that lets air into the engine( you might have to take the carb off to see in). If on full throttle the "slide" isn't all the way to the top, then adjust the throttle. I don't feel like typing it all so go to exriders.com...throttle adjustment

If all else fails, take it to a shop (not dealer) and they will charge you around 20 bucks and they will adjust for you. For all the lazy people like me .

i have no problem doing it myself just curious as to what was needed, if i knew it was as easy as this i would have done it a long time ago, and even if the carb is opening up all the way, im sure it would be a good thing to take some slack out of the cable
