Being a new Rancher owner, and a novice rider, how does one know what is the maximun speed one should attempt in the lower (1,2,3,and 4) gears before shifting to the next higher gear? I'm trying to prevent over reving the engine. Do these things have a rev-limiter? What happens when it activates? I'm sure I should not be reving to the max in each gear before shifting.

All suggesting will be appreciated! THANKS!!

I can tell you 11 in first, 37 in 4th, and 50 in 5th, I haven't noticed the others yet.

Apart from the obvious, there is a revlimiter that will cause it to sputter and miss.
