Basically, all I did was call them and tell them what I needed and they sent me a cable it cost around $27. It is only a pull cable and I used it with a 400EX thumb throttle. Sounds like what you need is a CRF length cable for a CRF carb and a 400EX thumb throttle.

It turns out that they will no longer sell a throttle cable for a push/pull type throttle.

Keihin carbs on CRF450's normally require two cables one to open, and one to close the throttle.

Terrycable is considering making a push/pull type thumb throttle.

Motion pro says the same thing.

You can use the CRF450R carburetor with not problems at all and without the need to take any parts out on any 400ex Thumb Throttle by following this:

Buy from Honda the Throtle Cable, Part #: 17910-HM7-00 it will fit on the thumb throttle and on the lower cable entry of the carburetor, plus is a good quality cable, the carburetor itself has a spring on the throttle so: YOU DON'T NEED ANY PUSH/PULL SYSTEM.

I'd get ahold of Kandk Atv and have them hook you up with PRP Porter Racing Products, Dave Porter the owner is who built my quad, from what I hear he just built one for himself to campaign the Nationals this year, He knows his stuff, I guess he should he has numberous GNC #1 plates
