Thanx for all your help everyone. i looked in the cilinder and there is a little sroring on the piston and cilinder but nothing deep would that cause a lose of power i am in the middle of having the frame gusseted now so i can rebuild the motor a lot easier
everyone has been a big help!

slim, you're welcome and good luck on your rebuild. 2fun makes good comments on compression testing as it can be tricky, also effecting your reading is whether the machine is hot or cold, amount of mixture left in the cylinder, use of proper technique ie. holding throttle wide open when testing. Any scoring at all in the ring area is enough to explain some loss of power, especially when the machine gets hot.

Good points there Dzzy.
There are many things to take into consideration when doing a compression test.
