Default 400 EX rear axle Question

The rear axles on a 400EX and 300EX are not the same, the 300's is narrower. 400EX & 250R might be a match. I'm pretty sure the hubs/bearings/seals are the same on all too.

Default 400 EX rear axle Question

I thought that the 300 and the 400 were the same. both have the same number of slindes which is 1 more or less than the 250R. the bearing and the seals on the 250 and the 400 are the same, also the bearing carrier are the same.

Default 400 EX rear axle Question

well, the reason i ask is because i have a pr of ext hubs that i originally bought for my 'Sport but the bolt pattern is 4-110. they are a 24 spline hub and i was wondering if they would work on a honda axle.

A 400ex hub should fit on a 250R axle, the splines are the same.

Default 400 EX rear axle Question

The 400 EX is a 24 spline as well as the 300 EX they will inter change. But the 250R rear wheel hubs are 25 spline and WILL NOT WORK! The 400ex axle will not work in the 250R properly the chain alignment will be wrong but yes they will mount in no they will not work right. I do have both quads and i do know that what I am telling you is fact. Yes the bearing carriers are the same in the 250R and the 400EX but the sprocket hubs are different.

No they will not work, a 250R and 400EX have different splines on the hubs. The carrier will work but the hubs will not. 300EX and 400EX hubs are the same.
