How Much oil and what size of oil filter fits a 2001 recon 250 ???? Please help, MIke

 

The recon takes about 1.6 qts. There is no oil filter so keep the oil changed often. Stay away from the oils that say energy conserving. try to stick with a 10w/40 or get honda gn4 5w/30 if you need a light weight oil for the winter.

 

My 2001 Recon takes 1.9 US qt or 1.6 Imp qt engine oil. 10w-40 SF or SG classification is recommended. The replacement oil filter I have is a EMGO and the number on it is 10-99200.
