Default Rubion Dynojet problem

Hi all,
I have installed a Dynojet and K%N filter in my 2001 Rubicon. I used the DJ148 main jet fro below 3000 feet and installed the c-clip on the froth grove down on the needle as per instructions. But I get hesitation when accelerating. I have tried all groves and I get a better idle as I move the c-clip up groves, but still have hesitation after idle. Has anyone else had this problem. Help needed.
thanks

What throttle setting does the hesitation occur at? Do they make you drill an additional or enlarge the lift hole in the bottem of the slide?

Jetting is not a one time deal. Its 100% trial and error. Dont forget about the mixture screw settings also.

No there is no drilling involved with these kits.

True Texmud, the mix screw should be reset after any change, that really puts the final polish on low throttle running. Also the different needles they include with those kits cause you to start from scratch again. Glad you don't have to alter the slide as they usually do in the bike kits, as I have seen this completely screwed up, and not easy to undo. Never underestimate how easy it is for a slow jet to become obstructed either.

It happens just after leaving idle and clears up with further throttle. Could there be something wrong with the main jet? Should I try a different size? i.e. DJ244 I also made sure that the air/fuel mixture screw is 3 and a half turns.
thanks

The part of the carb that most effects that throttle setting would be pilot jet and needle length\taper. Make sure your slow (pilot) jet isn't clogged. You could mess around with different ones if it isn't. Since you've tried every needle slot there isn't much you can do with it anymore. If you just can't make the jet kit work quit banging your head against the wall and put the stock stuff back in. It'll probably run better that way anyhow.

dzzy,
You were right on the money. The low speed jet got a little dirty, that cleared and the kit works fine.
thank all.
