I'm planning to buy either a 300ex or a Yamaha Warrior soon and just have some questions about the 300ex. Has anybody ever had any problems with theirs? I'm about 5' 8", 130 pounds. Would it be about the right size for me? Thanks......

 

It will probably be fine for you. I'm 5'2 and 122 pounds and its perfect for me. I've never had any major problems with mine. Had some problems with the carb when I first got it but cleaning it and rejetting it fixed it. Reverse is a pain - but who needs it [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] A 300ex will keep up with the best of them on tight trails.

 

I ride with sum guys that have them and work on them also.... The 300ex is a good running solid bike, but if it was me i would get the warrior, it gives you more room and in my opinion is a little better than the 30oex..........JMO

I had a 300EX for 2 years no problems other than right when it was almost brand new. My right front shock started binding or for some reason it had much less movement than the left shock. Brought it back to the dealer for inspection and they ordered a new shock for me.

That is one machine I wished I would have kept. It was so good on the trails in the deep woods.

ive had one problem with my 300ex............


it gets rode real hard
the cam seal was leaking a little but the dealer fixed it up........

no other problems
