Have any of you noticed a delayed shift when you press the up or down bottom...like when you press it does it take a few seconds before it gears up or down, or does it happen immediatley???????????

I have not had a shifting problem at all. When it shifts it shifts right now. I had a bad alignment problem that the dealer corrected and gave me a new set of front tires. I also noticed my pipe coming right out of the head was glowing bright orange at night. I contacted Honda headquarters in CA just to double check my dealer(he said it all checked out ok)Honda says they are using a lighter stainless tube and its normal. The spark plug looks good and the valves are properly adjusted and its not running lean. I suppose I have to believe them. I have a 2 year extended war. so I'll see! As far as your shifting I would get it back to the dealer soon as possible.

No delay when upshifting or downshifting, take it to the dealer & have them check it out.

I have not had any shifting problems. It shifts as fast as the foot shift quads that I have ridden. In fact, at times I powershift mine and found that it is a lot quicker that way. I was a little worried about damaging it, but one of the reviews I read before I bought it said that when Honda gave them the bike to test that they told them to ride it like that. NO problems at all so far. If yours is slow to shift, it has a problem. Get it to the shop ASAP. Good Luck.

On the 450 es there is a clutch adjustment. On the 450es there is a screw locknut on the bottom of the motor where you would loosen the lock nut and turn the screw counterclockwise till you feel it bottom out then back off 1/4 turn and tighten lock nut to 15lbs. THIS IS ONLY FOR THE 450es the rancher could be different. Hope this helps

I haven't noticed a pause while driving however if the quad is not moving and I shift down to Neutral there is sometimes a short pause.
