Default Larger Tire Power Loss

What kind of power loss is there when increasing tire size? I am looking to go from 25" to 27". I have gotten mixed answers on how noticeable it is, so I want to hear what you guys (and girls) think.

It all depends on the machine If you have a 450 to 500 or bigger it probably wont be all that big of a deal noticible yes but a problem? No. Now If you have a smaller machine your acceleration will be affected quite a bit and you'll get bogged easier.

Yes the power loss is noticeable. Your maching will feel slower and turning will be noticeably harder. When I upgraded to 589 MS tires I stuck with the stock size. Great traction, steering and acceleration is as good as stock..

Do you find yourself needing larger tires or just wanting larger tires? I would just go with a different tread in the same size tires.

I don't need larger tires but I can get the ITP 589 27" combo with C series rims for about $620. I would have to go through another dealer if I went with a smaller size. I have no problem with a 26" tire but the price issue is there. I would appreciate if anyone could tell me where I could find a smaller size for that price!

On a Rincon, I wouldn't think that you should have too much of a noticeable loss as long as they don't rub. That 650 has lots of power.
