well... the only way you're not going to lose top speed, is to not go with a smaller tire...
but you are right, you need a less grippy, flatter tire....
does turf-tamers make a 22" tire..... or like Kenda Scorpions?
both of those slide alot better than the stockers....
don't go with Holeshot or Razors... they have way too much side bite for a little 4-stroke
look around... good luck

maxamillion,
He was refering to the side bite for sliding, not straght ahead traction. That being said, stay away from the Razr2 rears. I went on a poker run last weekend on my 400EX and all it wanted to do was tip over. It had too much side bite to allow them to slide. The front Razr2s are great though. They tracked straight through the mud and gunk like dry pavement. Might I reccomend Holeshot XCRs (not XCTs) for the rears. They are designed for four strokes without a lot of horsepower.

Like I said, the Razr2s are "all that" as far as straight line traction. The lugs are a lot taller than the standard Razrs. On up hills I tried to feather the clutch to get some wheel spin and the RPMs up, no such luck! In the corners they seemed to stick like glue. I had a rough time sliding them even in the soft, loose stuff. Only when things got slick (i.e. hard, wet clay) would they finally slide.
