If you are north of seattle at all there is a local guy doing work from his garage. he has done 2 300ex's and a banshee for me. My 400ex is on its way there in days. He is cheap and reliable!

So is the new style powervalve that much better? could i buy one seperate.

 

RAD-R The guy's name is JIM but I just left his house and he said he is so busy he has to start turning away people he doesn't know. My engine is like fourth or fifth in line and he has 2 of is own that are apart.

 

They may not advertise as much as the others but FTZ Racing has powervalved engines from 250cc all the way up to 370cc and also have a 400cc kit.

 

Well im really interested in LRD Performance or ESR.

LRD uses the older bellow style powervalve, ESR uses the new piston style powervalve.. i understand they are both interchangable.. but which is better? i hear the old one is the best, but then the new one is much smoother and gives way more top end. (If i got ESR could i use an LRD silencer setup?)

 

I have ridden a few R Motors in the past (CT 370,310 ESR).Ive said it before but.......Go with the ESR PV.You will not go wrong with ESR.I spent all weekend last weekend riding my new 370PV and i couldnt be happier. late,zubbeyboy

Just a thought, but why don't you have Dave Moore build a 250 for you?

I have had nothing but great experiences with him and his work.

A built 250 will get you up and over anything out there on the dunes, and will still remain reliable.
Thats MY 2 cents.

 

Because if your not one of dave's personal buddies or long time customer your not going to be treated appropriately. Anybody can build a fast motor, that isnt the question. Its the customer service. I have a 370 that we built that is extremely fast. I can put 6-7 bikes lengths on a 370 build by esr, lrd, ct, ect. But im a jerk, and you dont want to deal with us [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] jk.
