Default Finish mower not cutting very good

I must have did something wrong when I sharpened the blades on my finisher mower. The whole yard looks "choppy" or uneven. It was better before I sharpened them! When I sharpened them last summer it did great, could I have put the wrong angle on them or something this time? Or could it be a belt slipping??

Is this the first mowing you've done with that mower this year? Might check your tire pressures - when I see an uneven yard, usually one tire is low on air.

Did you put the blades on upside down? I have heard of that happening several times already this year.

I have a pull behind mower and it does that when the deck is clogged with grass and if you mow too fast or if you try to mow too much at once. Only mow about 2" at a time or you will have to go over it twice . A new belt will help also. Just take your belt off and go to a auto parts store and find one. Its alot cheaper there.

Ok guys, I have checked all that and it all looks good, the tire pressure, the deck level, the blades on right. I think the problem is when I sharpened the blades I put the wrong angle on them. I looked at a new set of blades and noticed the angle of the cutting edge wasn’t as sever as mine. For instance the angle on the new blade looked about like a 20 degree, were mine is more like a 45.

Would this cause a problem?
