Sorry, don't have any pics scanned but a person could go to

and download a 1.7 meg pdf for evaluation of a potential purchase.
I would think a fellow would be hard pressed to put one together cheaper than you can buy one if you figure your labor. Figure about 350-400 U.S. for an engine, still need a couple hundred worth of steel, then pulleys, machine work, wheels, lift mechanism etc.
Not doubting your fabrication skills but what about liability concerns if something homebuilt flies off and hurts someone or worse? The one I have has had a pretty hard life so far, just finished sticking it back together after hitting a hidden rock a couple weeks ago. No major damage to the blades but broke almost all the welds holding the right side to the deck. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Do you have that pull-behind Trailcutter that they have listed on their website, the one for the brush and not for just finish mowing? We recently got into the ATV world with an older Polaris, and am always keeping our eyes open for good pull-behind brush mowers. Right now we put in a lot of hard work with walk-behind, older Bachtold brush mowers, or "man killers" as many have referred to them. But anyways, what price range are we looking at for these things here?

HI BrainG, the one I have is the RT44 manual start with the 10.5hp briggs. I would look around at a local farm and ranch supply store, I got mine for $1100 minus the hitch bar which they had lost. Northern Equipment has them listed for 1199, but I imagine shipping would be pretty spendy!
They work pretty good for what they are, if you get in a thicket of saplings you have to go pretty slow or have a spare belt handy. I don't think I would want to use anything but a manual trans quad to pull one, the cutters weigh 550lbs and I usually run in low range, 2nd gear. The quad tires squash down what you are trying to mow and usually have to make a second pass after stuff springs back up. I could offset the hitch but have too many tight areas to squeeze through.
Just got home from putting 700 miles on the 2 wheeler on some Colorado trails, 95 degrees and humid here, should have stayed out there! Have a good one, DK
