Mini-14 Price?
The 180 series is first year made for which Ruger will not sell parts for and aftermarket parts are scarce. I believe ruger is now up to a 198 or 199 series. They have remained the same except for the first year made and then 2005. When holding you gun in shooting position, on the left hand side under the front scope mount is your serial number. It begins with three digits has a dash and then more numbers. These first three digits are your series number and should be between 180 and 199. I am guessing pretty close to 195 to 197
The wood stocks have a screw on each side of the stock, they hold a steel plate in place on the inside of your stock called locking lugs that the reciever attaches itself to. The factory synthetic stocks are built a little different and dont have this. If you give me a day I can tell you for sure if the stock will fit your gun or not, I know who to ask.

I got a little more info now. Commonly people go from a wood stock to a synthetic, so typically the aftermarkets have the holes in the sides for attachment. Your gun will fit in the stock but you will experience some movement without the screws. The screws and reinforcement bracket do not come with the butler creek folder but can be purchased seperatly. The only place that Im aware of that sells this is accuracy systems. $17 for bracket 1.50 for washers and 3.50 for screws. They are a little pricey but do some awsome work, like turning your mini into a 1/2 moa varmint rig. Check out their website, lots of great minis in there.
