Try the Rubicon in ESP and in low range shifting at low rpm's. It won't fool the deer, but it may keep other distant hunters from hearing what you're up to - especially useful on public land. Still..........must be a way to make it even quieter(?)......thinking about an external baffle.

 

Has anyone done a DB test to see how loud and quiet the Rubicon is??

 

While I could not say what is the most quiet ATV, I will say that the Yamaha Grizzly is one of the loudest ATV's that I have come across. One of the guys at my deer lease just bought one and tried it out last weekend. I could hear him coming at what appeared to be three to four times the distance that I normally hear other ATVs at our lease. In all honesty, it sounded more like a tractor than an ATV.

 

I thought when I bought my 500 Quadrunner 4x4 this past January that it was pretty loud. A few days after I got it I was giving her heck and my mom and her friend were walking up the mountain on a trail and they didn't hear me coming until I was about 30 yards from them and they seem to have pretty good hearing. I guess they seem louder when you're on them and the pipe isn't that far behind your ears.

 

I recall Suzuki makes an add-on muffler to muffle their already quiet King Quad 300. I figure that must make it a very quiet machine.
