If you plan on realy using your winch for more than looks this is the one area that you don't wana go cheep in. To make a long story short you pay for what you get!

I have been using Ramsey winches for many years, and nothing but good equipment..Trucks,atvs utes etc. and Jeeps! Don't buy a cheapo, you'll regret it!

If you want one that will last with no trouble, go with the Ramsey. A little higher, but you get what ya pay for.

My only experience is with Superwinch and Warn. I wore out two Superwinches pushing snow and the magnets broke in a third. I finally went with a Warn 2500# and it has worked fine for the last three winters. When I was using the Superwinch also I would go through 1 to 2 switches per winter which cost about $20 each so it can add up.

Warn and Ramsey are both great winches and will likely last longer than you keep your quad. I'm getting ready to put the Warn winch from my '97 quad onto my '08. If you have to keep replacing cheap winches it costs a lot more.

My sentiments, I have used both Ramsey and Warn,I am partial to Ramsey because of price and profile.
