Im primarily a road bike guy.....Ive got an addiction issue with stuff that has wheels on it (and motors.....Im a fat guy, NOT peddling). Ive got 8 road bikes....everything from sport bike, hard tail bobber, sidecar rig, touring machine etc.....Ive got one dirt bike. I like the old stuff, love vintage styling so I try to stick to older bikes.
My sons been riding dirt for over 3 years (hes 9). He start out with a chinese 110cc machine (sold) but has since moved up to a slightly worked over LT80. He start on 2 wheels with a JR50 (which I saved for his sister) but this year is on a slightly worked over TTR90. Finally he also has a chinese go kart, 110cc - its a turd but its a fairly fast turd and Ive honestly been waiting for it to die so I can crush it and get more garage space....but it just wont die.
My daughter just started riding this year. Shes got her brother left over JR50 with training wheels.....a Kazuma Wombat 50cc atv.....and a Carter Turbo Turtle.
See. the plan...each kid has a dirt bike, atv and go kart. As the boy moves up, sister gets the old stuff and I can sell of the wee stuff when she is done.....all except the go karts, probably done with them cause they take up WAY to much room. Ive got a 4 car garage I cant get a car in between their stuff and mine.
At any rate....Ive got a dirt bike....and Im not going to get a go kart but I did feel left out without an ATV. Dont need 4wd....dont need to be to powerful.....needs to be big enough for me but not much bigger cause Ive got a decent sized track in my yard (3 lots) but a decent sport quad wouldnt even get would up before Id have to be on the brakes.
So I scored a Honda Foutrax 200 off Craigslist for $700....pretty clean and Im fairly impressed with its go power for what it is. Downside is my son has decided his LT80 isnt cutting it now.....he has been riding mine.
Here are some pics of my motorized family.....this is how we roll (literally).
Daughter in motion....with short and long hair (she found the scissors)

Us going to school.....

Son setting on my Goldwing ferrying across the river....we were on a 3 day motorcycle trip

Here he is honoring soldiers....WE are PGR members....I say WE cause he goes and stands like the big boys, hes earned it. I see it as a great reason to pull a kid out of school occasionally (or often).

Here he is dreaming about his first ashalt ride.....

My girlfriend learning to ride on one of my bobbers...

My daughter going to dance class....

Then you will really love this picture.....

Its a little deceiving. Its a semi-auto 5 speed.....I just pop it in second for the little ones (or 1st if they are really little). But it will flat haul in 5th. My buddy has one just like it and ride it up to the bar all the time.....parks it right on the sidewalk....real handy.
