Hows it going everyone nooby here from western, upstate NY (Rochester to be exact) Buddy got me interested in quads this past summer so here I am. Probally gonna end up doing mostly MX style riding and some trails. Ide lvoe to get into some freestyle.
Im on the market for a new quad I havent really decided what yet...If I go for a brand new Im looking at 09' LTR450's, pretty race ready out of the box and EFI is a plus to me...Ive been lookin at the DS450 MX's too.
As far as used goes I was thinking a YFZ450 or TRX450. I was also considering a LTZ400 and eventually a big bore kit if I feel I want uber power lol...Ive even been considering a 400EX and doing a motor swap (CRF450R or XR650R)

Welcome! I'm from rochester too. Not a lot of legal public places to ride, but if you are into mx area 51 is nice. good luck in your search. for what you are mentioning, I would stick with the 450s.
