ello everyone...

Well I finally broke down and bought my 1st quad. I picked up a 2k warrior pretty cheap. Its all stock though but it is flawless. It does have a full set of plates and thats it. I've been using a UNI filter in my bike, so im going to continue using them.... so far so good...

My question(s) is what do I do next? I'm thinking of going pipe and airbox mods... any suggestions would be nice. Anyone have any type of documented gains in HP? Im not going sprocet changes yet.. maybe later.

thanks

If your going to do an airfilter. Get the pro-flow kit. I'm sure
pretty much everyone will agree on this one. Later

Along with your airbox mods, I'd highly suggest a pipe for the Warrior. It really wakes it up. I have a FMF Megamax pipe on mine, but I also think White Bros. and Big Gun make good pipes. I also added a tooth to my front sprocket on mine for a little more top end (the warrior has plenty of bottom end).

Before engine mods (but after the mandatory ProFlow improvement), I'd suggest a good set of tires. They change a bike.

Congrats on the new ride. I would definately recommend tires first. Then, suspension. Your motor can go as fast as you want, if the suspension cant soak up the terrain at the speed, it slows you down. I even picked up some 1.5" wheel spacers for the front end and they surprisingly hold up really well and really help the handling alot. If you do that though, you should invest 100 in a steering dampener as you do get quite a bit of bumpsteer. If anyone has a used one for a Warrior they are willing to get rid of for a reasonable price, let me know. Then I would go with the proflow and a WB pipe. It makes a world of difference. Dont forget the jet kit. Then, when ready for motorwork, go with a cam, valves, high comp. piston kit, and even a bigger carb. There are a lot of performance mods for it. Curtis Sparks makes a degreeable cam and high rev CDI box for it. Powroll makes a 430 kit for it. The list goes on and on. Just dont forget suspension, you wont regret it.

thanks for the tips

does k&n make that much of a difference over uni to switch?

as for the pipes, which is really better, fmf or wb? ive heard mixed reviews but havent seen any real data... can anyone help in this department?

Ive also heard that banshee shocks fit the warrior and are much better. should i look at this as an option or go showa or somthing else?

thanks

As far as shocks go, I would go with Works. If money is not an option, go with Custom Axis. They are the best but Works are good all around shocks, definately better than stock. The shocks on banshee are no different than the Warrior. If you were to order a pair of each shock from a dealer, they are the same part number. As far as FMF vs WB, go to each website. I know WB has hard numbers, not sure about FMF. I haven't heard anything good as far as 4 stroke pipes from FMF. They do make a headpipe for it though. I was thinking about trying it with my WB exhaust but I dont know if it is worth the money. K&N does make a bigger difference but make sure you get an Outerwear. The holes in the K&N are bigger and let small particles in without it.
