Default timberwolf problem

I have a yamaha 1998 timberwolf 250. Cranks up great runs great for about five minutes then it dies and will not start back up. After it cools for five minutes it cranks back up, runs good for five more minutes then dies again. Can anyone help!

welcome to the forums! you may have better luck getting replies by posting problems in the yamaha section, but while you're here, it could be vapor locking OR, my bet is that maybe the float might not be totally keeping up with the demand of fuel, or that the vent hose off of the fuel tank is plugged and the fuel tank is getting a vacuum pulled on it till the fuel flow stops. then it'll regain pressure while waiting. just a guess without more detail from you. anyways, welcome!

thanks for the welcome, and thanks jasper94! The suggestion about my carb float not keeping up with the demand for fuel was the problem. I adjustd the float and it is running like a charm. Thanks again!
