Default brand new buying atv for twins

my wife and myself have been looking at atvs 125cc and under for our twin girls. they are twelve and still pretty small. they are tuff enough to handle anything but I think an 250cc is to much starting a t this time. now I know that most kids grow out of their 90cc pretty fast but there is just almost nothing between an 90cc and an 250cc except for Yamaha 125cc and one other I believe is an petsete 125cc. between the two I prefer the Yamaha. now I grew up with Honda ruling the world of atvs. if anyone has an opinion please let me know as were buying in the next few days. so far to me it looks like the Yamaha 125cc is first only because of the ccs putting it over all else. then I am not sure if Hondas 90cc or the Polaris 90cc is second/third. Kawasaki 90cc is fourth followed by kymco then artic cat. please any help would be great help.

I have a TaoTao (Chinese) 125-G for my 9 year old son. We bought it used this year. It runs well but has the typical issues with things occasionally coming loose that Chinese ATVs are known for. But my son enjoys it and it only cost $450. We looked at a Yamaha Breeze and I may get him one of those when the TaoTao craps out. Or by then he may be big enough to ride the Polaris 250 I recently acquired.

His previous ATV was another Chinese ATV with a 90cc Honda clone engine. That engine had no problem pulling me. So a 90 might be just fine for your girls. My buddy has a newer Polaris 90 that can pull adults just fine.

Honda still rules !!!
um....Suzuki, for obvious reasons to me.
125 and under is the right path, IMHO.

Welcome! Personally, I would go with a quality 90, preferably used. If your girls are up to shifting, then the TRX is a great machine. The key is, these things take a beating and are stone reliable. After they grow in size and skill, you can sell a quality 90 for little or no loss provided it has been taken care of. The Yamaha 125 Raptor is a nice little quad, but it may still be to big for a smaller 12y/o.

I think you're on the rite path. A good quality 90 to 125 would be perfect.

I would almost say you need to go with the 125 at this point because itll last them longer and wont be as big of a jump to the 250's when the time comes
