Just bought a 2000 Honda 400 EX, an although I'm decently mechanically inclined I have no idea where to start. As for the quad I've had it for 3 days and I've rode it for a total of maybe 3hrs. It seems to run pretty well at first glance but I'm positive it could use some tuning. So to all you Honda 400 ex experts where do I start? I'm looking for a complete check list to know how to tune, maintain, and cheap/free tuning tricks to improve performance. The guy I bought it from said he put new chain, sprockets, Axel barrings. But I feel like its a little sluggish at low RPMs. But once I'm at 1/2- 3/4 throttle she really takes off. So someone anyone, educate me! From oil change, and fluid checks, to carb and jets. Your help will be greatly appreciated! PS how do I go about posting my pics on here?
