Newbie needing opinion thoughts on a 1986 lt185
#2
Welcome.. Worked an a few LT125 and LT185 Suzukis. Overall good machines that I could tell, but the 125 was way too rear end heavy, front steering walked all over the place. The 185 didn't,weight was better distributed. Most of them just came in for carb cleans,no major repairs. Even had one come in with a Goki electric start kit that worked straight off the battery and noisy, but cranked right up. But check it out carefully as it's still an old 29 year old machine and possibly needing repairs. Just depends on how it was taken care of. Also you might consider something a little newer if the pocket book allows.
