Hey everyone. I recently got a Chinese buyang 72cc ATV given to me in a group sale. I am not mechanically inclined but I am a YouTube addict. I have looked everywhere and was able to find a new wire harness, carb, battery, and exhaust. I got them all on and the engine cranks. Doesnt start. I pulled the spark plug (new) and it is getting spark. Checked gas and it is getting gas. I got a compression kit and found that it only out puts about 30 psi, way too low I found out. I am thinking it needs a new engine but A. I can't find a 72 cc engine, 2. Is there something else a newbie like me can try before selling my kidney in exchange for a running motor. Please help. I am from the east side of Ohio and I am trying my best to be a hero to my boys. Anyone???

Is this a 2 or 4 stroke motor? You may want to post this in the Chinese section. You'll get more views/replies in there.

If its a 2 stroke you need to check the reed valves if its a 4 stroke look on you tube how to grind valves....its probably a 2 stroke and reed valves are an easy fix.
