Well I got my clutch kit installed and it works awesome, but even before I put it in I noticed a kind of "thump" noise coming from my tranny. And it got louder when I put the new primary spring in, so I took it apart and ran it with the cover off and what it is doing is letting the primary clutch slam back open kinda hard, in turn making that noise. So I put the stock spring in and it went away for a while and now it is doing it again. I was wondering if yall knew of any secerts to cure this or what. I called EPI and talked to them and they said it is normal and shouldnt be a problem, just to monitor it. I ended up leaving the primary spring out and putting the stock one in because it was a handfull with the engagement higher. Overall the clutch kit does pull harder and it has made a nice difference.

 

The Prairie 650's all do the same thing with aftermarket springs. It's a normal event.
